Join us for an in-depth 8-hour training program meticulously crafted to provide a comprehensive review of heat stress management principles. This program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively mitigate the risks associated with occupational exposure to heat stress.

Structured around the fundamental causes and effects of heat stress in the workplace, our training program delves into the underlying mechanisms of job risk factors and methods for assessing these factors. Participants will gain a deep understanding of established occupational exposure limits and learn how to apply them in practice.

Throughout the program, interventions for managing heat stress are presented within the context of exposure severity, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to address varying levels of risk. Learning Objectives

The course is designed for those with an occupational health and safety background. The level of detail will include both basic and advanced knowledge and experience with heat stress. The learning objectives are:

·       Explain the job risk factors of heat stress.

·       List personal risk factors for heat stress.

·       Explain the basis for and the strengths and weaknesses of heat stress evaluation.

·       Evaluate heat stress in terms of environment, metabolic demands, and clothing requirements.

·       Recommend heat stress interventions based on heat stress severity.

·       Develop a comprehensive heat stress management program.

Format:

This program is offered as an asynchronous self-paced program and takes approximately 8 hours to complete.
